When considering buying neon for
business advertising or home decoration many people ask us the same questions.
To help a little, we have provided a short list of frequently asked questions:
How long does neon last?
Neon signs have a life expectancy of 20 to 25 years even if left on all the time.
Does turning them on and off shorten their life?
No. Many signs are designed to flash.
Do neon signs get hot?
Neon tubes run just warm to the touch.
Is the gas dangerous or flammable if the sign is broken and the gas escapes?
No. Both neon and argon gases which are used in neon signs are inert gases which
are components of the air we breathe. If released the gas harmlessly goes back into the atmosphere.
